One of the best ways to take a quantum leap in your racquet sports play is to participate in a camp. There are several racquetball camps you might consider, like Fran Davis's
weekend or week-long camps, the week-long
high performance camp held at the US Olympic training center (here's
a camp sampler), or Jo Shattuck's
shorter clinics.
If you have the time and money, and decide to attend a racquetball camp, be sure to do a few things in addition to making your travel and lodging reservations:
- Get fit in advance so you can enjoy the camp and get the most out of it,
- Pack even more playing clothes than you expect to need, and
- Take convenient writing materials so you can take lots of notes.
When you get back, work hard to incorporate your new-found skills and drills, and then use what you learned in play with your regular partners. They'll be wanting to attend the camp next time!
