Squash Volley - Make Contact at Shoulder or Head Height for Good Squash Volleys

Contact at Shoulder Height, With Trunk Rotation and Weight Transfer Onto Front Foot

Steve Hufford
With your weight transferred onto your front foot, make contact with the ball at head height or shoulder height. You will usually lose control of the squash volley if you hit the ball when it's high above your head, or if you hit it when it's below your shoulders. You may have to move your feet to get to the right place to hit each volley at the right height. That requires watching the ball closely while you move to the right location.
