Squash is so much fun that you're probably tempted to rush on court and start whacking away at the ball. That's good, but it's also important to learn the rules as fully as you can, and as soon as you can.
For safety's sake, you and your squash partners should all understand the rules of the game. If you think about it, with two players usually running at full speed, competing furiously in a small room, while swinging sticks, and the ball bouncing all around off the walls, it's a wonder anyone escapes alive!
Here are three great sources for the official rules of squash, simplified versions of the rules, and interpretations and guides if you get confused:
The rules and refereeing section of the US Squash website,
The officiating section of the Squash Canada website, and
The rules and regs section of the World Squash Federation website.
There's even a fun squash rules quiz you might enjoy!
